Pengertian Dan Fungsi Proxmox VE
Apa itu Proxmox VE? Proxmox Virtual Environment atau biasa yang dieja Proxmox VE dan disingkat PVE adalah sebuah sistem virtualisasi yang bersifat opensource dengan basis Linux Debian. Yang menarik disini Proxmox tidak hanya bisa melakukan instalasi sistem operasi yang berbasis Linux saja melainkan juga dapat melakukan instalasi sistem operasi Windows dengan mengusung teknologi openYZ dan KVM-nya.
Apa fungsi Proxmox VE? Proxmox VE mempunyai fungsi sebagai virtualisasi untuk sistem operasi maupun appliance dilingkungan server yang mampu dalam mengelola dua teknologi virtualisasi KVM untuk mesin virtual dan LXC untuk container based menggunakan antarmuka web tunggal.
Teknologi yang digunakan Proxmox VE Proxmox menggunakan Kernel Linux dengan basis GNU Debian yang dikostumasi sehingga mendukung Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) dan Container-based Virtualization atau Linux Containers (LXC) dengan tingkat efisiensi yang tinggi da kecepatan akses yang meningkat.
Keuntungan menggunakan Proxmox Performa sistem yang cukup baik. Cocok digunakan untuk sistem dengan skala tinggi (Enterprise). Manajemen sistem yang mudah dengan kemudahan control panel yang disediakan. Proses pemasangan lebih cepat karena proxmox yang telah dioptimalkan. Dengan VNC Viewer-nya Anda bisa membuat virtualiasasi dengan lingkungan Desktop seperti Windows. Spesifikasi Minimum Proxmox Processor minimum Pentium 4 dengan kemampuan 64 bit. CPU d-Vengan mainboard yang mendukung intel VT (Virtualitation Technology) atau AMD untuk model full virtualization. RAM Memory minimal 2 GB. Kapasitas hardisk minimal 50 GB.
